Well, after two months of development, loads of planning, and bunch of decisions, design work, and UI stuff... I've released Projexr 1.0, for real. No more beta. Though it isn't perfect, it's pretty, it's small, it's fast and it's pretty bad ass, if I do say so myself. What's to come? All sorts of stuff, but I need to be careful. I want Projexr to be lightweight, and to the point.
Projexr was intentionally not created in typical MVC format. In fact, it might be down right unconventional, by today's standards. But that's the beauty of it. I'm sure as Projexr moves on through the versions and upgrades a few things will definitely get better. Namely, the update process - right now, it's manual. If you're using Projexr, and need help with upgrading a current install, contact me.
PX-Contact Add-On (release TBD)
Honeslty, Projexr would have been released sooner if it wasnt' for this epic add-on. PX-Contact is a dynamic form generation application that allows you to create forms, style them, and embed them via the CMS panel... at will. This first iteration is for small site usage; but there is no limit to how many forms you can create (that I've found), and the database schema for it is flexible and stable.
There is also an optional "send mail" function with customizable attributes, which will also be improved upon in the PX-Contact final release coming, as well as PX-Contact Plus which will feature a fully dynamic Ajax-powered form builder, and a few more optional features I ended up wanting, but not including in PX-Contact (such as Export contacts to Excel).

Stay tuned for more good stuff from Projexr.

Pleased to announce, after a little fun and excitement - Projexr now supports multi-tiered navigation. Though the implementation is still crude, the functionality is there for you to CSS and mash up to your heart's content.
In other news, a documentation add-on has been written: "Creating Themes".
When reading in conjunction with the px-white theme included in the download, it really is a lot easier than it reads on paper. Consider the Creating Themes document a cheat sheet of sorts.
Other stuff:
What's next? Add-ons and more themes
Be on the look out for some uber-awesome goodness coming from Projexr the closer we get to global domination. Until then, as always, if you have questions or comments we're here: team@digithrive.com

There are things I want to put into Projexr, that probably goes without saying. Here's a brief list of what I have in store for this project:
Themes, I'd like to release 4 new free ones for fun... and gotta get the documentation done so you kids can make'm yourselves. Other than that? More stuff! I just want more stuff.

This project took two years to plan, and this is the first of five stages. That just means that if you grab what I got now, it'll only get better, but you'll already like what you see. Projexr CMS took 6 months to develop, on and off, and was developed to be lean & mean. I wanted to get something that'll get it done, and to the point.
Just like this News post.
